The benefits of achieving healthy activism is making a difference, feeling good, and seeing the success in your cause being accomplished.
We may not have all day to talk about the many issues that Alabama faces, but the good news is there are common denominators that will help us to resolve them, such as education & health investments. Since 2016, I have worked on countless projects, learned through trial & error, took time for some much needed self care & did not give up until each cause and each project was completed with solutions that absolutely work. Getting here was no easy task, that's why learning how to be a successful activist is vital. These steps are what has made the biggest difference for me.
I. Healing your environments:
The environments I've mentioned are the internal and external kind. How is your mind & body? How is your home life? Start there. We are combating unhealthy culture, mindsets, and actions. Doing this helps us to strengthen ourselves. Do what you need to do. After doing this, I guarantee that you will become a much better, healthier, happier and successful person in general which in turn makes you a better activist.
Your time & money is valuable. Organize them to save you more energy to be a more effective activist. Download a good calendar and have it available on your homepage on your cell. If you need help with organizing your finances, click here.
III. Start small & experiment:
Starting small is important, especially when it comes to doing something different. Start on the little things to master the bigger ones. There are small projects and to do's for every category on our Solutions Blog. Start with one & the rest can become easier.
IV. Be a part of a system:
Don't be afraid to talk to the right people in locations that may already support your cause. Find them through any social media outlet, and local groups & venues. The right people gets projects done easier & faster.
I hope this helped!
