Thank you Debbie Lowe Mitchell for attending and your invaluable input! This month’s meetup is about how to prepare and prevent a domestic terrorist attack(s). Following the skewed story of the Las Vegas attack, one thing we can agree on is that most citizens are not prepared on what to do in case there is one. DO NOT RUN, you’ll be an easy target to a person who does not care about you or anyone that you love. When there is a shooter, unless that person is running after you, STAY DOWN, army crawl to a concrete or metal like barrier to protect yourself if you can find one. STAY THERE until help arrives. Here’s a video that I found that can help in case you were stabbed or shot. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0D9VZjISYTM Please post more in the comment section below that is relevant to surviving an attack. What is domestic terrorism? According to free dictionary “ Domestic terrorism or homegrown terrorism is commonly associated with violent acts committedby citizens or permanent residents of a state against their own people or property within that statewithout foreign influence in an effort to instill fear on a population or government as a tactic designedto advance political, religious, or ideological objectives.[1]” According to evidence in the US, we are likely to see domestic terrorism (including from government officials and employees such cops) because of lack of support in community health, gun safety education, and preparation as well as more guns more gun violence. Check out a great site with all the info that you'll need to learn about smart gun laws. http://smartgunlaws.org/ Now, maybe we have more guns because we don’t trust our government. Completely understandable. Should we keep our right to bear arms? Yes, I believe so. But should we filter out who will be able to have them in order to have a formal effective militia against a tyrannical goverment? Absolutely, yes in my humble opinion. I’ve personally talked to gun owners and they ALL have agreed, psychopaths should not have the right to bear arms. In a perfect America, I believe that everyone should at least own at least one gun. Many people can disagree with me, but unfortunately we don’t live in a perfect world. We live in a world where people lose their shit, they’re enraged, they’re painfully uncoping and I believe that it's then that makes them the most vulnerable to act on immense harm to the people around them. Debbie's input: Miss Debbie explained how she taught her children early on practicing gun safety.
Other things we've talked about is the benefits of CBD oil. Here is a great site that has to do with backed research of cbd oil https://www.cbdglobal.org/conditions And here's where you can get it legally http://cbdgum.networkofhemp.com/ Remember our Meetups are every FIRST SATURDAY OF THE MONTH at Beignet Cafe from 12pm to 2pm. RSVP on Meetup or Facebook. Signed, Cortney & Debbie Problem Solve > Invest > Restore
