Born in Fort Polk, LA, Cortney was introduced to a Bayou atmosphere, Cajun cooking, & the military lifestyle. Blended with South Korean heritage with mixed European American, she was one out of many military babies who had a melting pot of mixed race.
From a severe birth defect & autism that contributed to her muteness as a child to being raised by parents and guardians with severe mental illnesses, she had a lot to heal from. While failing, learning, and living on luckily she found a community that built a safety net to continue to catch her. Learning that to sustain herself she had to be mentally well. Listening to those with healed experience led her to her own healed experiences. And so she began her journey to also creating a community safety net & bridging the gaps to promote societal wellness & prosperity creating Alabama Solutions, a grassroots movement. Since then, these tried and true experienced solutions led a foundation and is uploaded to this website.
By working & resolving these issues, the Alabama Solutions team has also restored hope, freedom and faith in our communities.
