About the Author
Born in Fort Polk, LA, I was introduced to a Bayou atmosphere & the military lifestyle. Blended with South Korean and European American, I was one out of many babies of mixed race in our melting pot country. Unfortunately, I along with the neighboring little ones, was born with a birth defect that year. Learning too late that the environmental pollution was so severe in the area that it caused cancers, birth defects, miscarriages and other morbid outcomes. Think Erin Brockovich. And like Erin Brockovich, I became even more passionate about taking care of the environment to try to prevent these types of tragedies. Growing up was interesting. Other than maneuvering through life with the complications of how I was born, being raised by parents & guardians with untreated mental illnesses made life a little more dangerous. Health & education then also became my passion. Without it, I had nothing to stand on, nothing to fight with. Ultimately those two things helped me on my path towards financial gains to afford more resources, find better connections, and of course being forever grateful to all the people and things that got me there. Being exposed to better means you don't go back to less. After moving around and seeing what's out there, I came back to Alabama and was livid to see, witness, and experience the failures in our society and decided to change what I could with hellfire. I began my journey finding, funding, and creating; bridging the gaps for wellness & prosperity locally. Alabama Solutions, a grassroots movement was born. Going out into the field and getting the facts, I've documented and uploaded them here.
